Find Something Better

There's a pathway to real peace

Do you ever feel fake or as if you’re not living up to the person you could be? If others could see your thoughts, do you feel like they wouldn’t like you or approve of you? Maybe you’re frustrated that you feel you haven’t found your purpose in life or have done things you shouldn’t do. Instead of feeling embarrassment or frustration, what if there’s something better?

It starts with admitting that you're not perfect

No one has it all together. We have all done things that are wrong. That is why Jesus has something better for everyone. Jesus said, "I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mark 2:17) We have a choice. In the Bible, we learn that “God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.” (Ecclesiastes 7:29)

You must recognize the consequences of following your own path

Each of us strays and we will all give account of our lives to God:

"…it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27)

He didn’t leave us in the dark about judgment:

Heaven is God’s eternal city, we’re told, “…nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there.” (Revelation 21:27)

If you're imperfect, then how can you connect with a perfect God?

Jesus said there was only one way to be acceptable to God: "This is the work of God--that you believe in the One He has sent.” (John 6:29)

Jesus has something better for you

The good news is God - who created you and knows you better than anyone—loves you more than anyone else.

"God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

What can you do? “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Hebrews 3:15)

You can have something better in Jesus by asking him to lead your life. Here’s an example:

“Dear God, your Word and my own life shows me to be a sinner. But I want something better.. I don't want a fake hope anymore. I want to follow Jesus and believe He died for me and rose again. Please forgive me for what I’ve done wrong and give me eternal life. Amen.”

The Bible tells us that “By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, we have peace with God. “ (Romans 5:1)
